Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of SellBot, the AI sales assistant for Shopify, provided by CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC. Installing the app means you agree to them. If you do not, do not install it.

1. Who is agreeing

By installing SellBot you confirm you have authority to bind the store owner. These Terms are an agreement between you — the merchant or an authorised representative — and CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC.

2. What SellBot does

• An AI chat widget that answers shopper questions on your storefront in real time
• Product recommendations drawn from your synced Shopify catalogue
• Smart Triggers for proactive chat — cart idle, exit intent, page dwell, and others
• Smart Match product quiz and side-by-side comparison
• A back-in-stock waitlist that shoppers opt into themselves
• Live agent handoff, with an email fallback when nobody is available
• An Inbox, and Corrected Responses for teaching the AI about your store
• A free phone app for Android and iOS that pairs by QR code and alerts your team when a shopper asks for a person
• A Live visitors view — real data on paid plans, a sample preview on Free
• Staff seats with owner, admin and agent roles, according to your plan
• Order tracking in the chat, and Insights on the revenue your chats influence

3. Plans and billing

All payment runs through Shopify's billing system. We never see or hold your card details.

• Free — $0/month. Up to 50 AI replies a calendar month, 1 staff seat, 1 Smart Trigger. Free indefinitely.
• Starter — $29/month or $290/year. Up to 500 AI replies a month, 1 seat, 3 Smart Triggers.
• Growth — $79/month or $790/year. Up to 3,000 AI replies a month, 3 seats, 5 Smart Triggers.
• Scale — $149/month, monthly only. 10,000 AI replies a month included, unlimited seats and triggers, audit log, priority support. Past the included replies, you can choose to allow more at $0.01 per reply, up to a monthly limit you set. This is off unless you turn it on.

Each paid plan includes a 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged until the trial ends and you can cancel during it from Shopify.

We run the AI on our own provider accounts, so there is no separate AI bill. When a plan's replies for the billing period are used up, the AI stops replying until the allowance resets, unless you are on Scale and have allowed more. Charges for extra replies appear on your Shopify bill.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel through Shopify first. We do not refund partial periods — cancel whenever you like and the service runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We may change prices by updating the Shopify App Store listing; an active subscription keeps its price until you approve a new charge through Shopify.

3a. SellBot Phone Pro (iPhone app)

SellBot Phone Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold inside the SellBot iPhone app through Apple's In-App Purchase: $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, or the equivalent shown in your App Store currency. It unlocks real-time Live visitors and the alert-sound picker in the app.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

Your use of the iPhone app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). Where these Terms and the Standard EULA differ on the app itself, the Standard EULA applies.

4. What the AI is not

SellBot writes replies using third-party models — Anthropic Claude, with Google Gemini as a fallback. They are not always right, and you accept that:

• Answers can contain factual errors, stale information, or product details that no longer match your catalogue.
• Reviewing replies in your Inbox, and correcting them, is your responsibility.
• We are not liable for losses caused by a shopper relying on an AI answer, including a wrong price or availability.
• SellBot is not for legal, medical, tax or financial advice, and you must not instruct it to give such advice on your behalf.

5. Acceptable use

Use SellBot lawfully, and within Shopify's own Terms and App Store guidelines. You must not:

• Sell illegal goods, counterfeits, weapons, or anything else Shopify prohibits
• Use SellBot for spam or harassment, or to mislead shoppers about a product's origin, safety or performance
• Abuse or overload the service — scripted mass requests, prompt injection, and the like
• Reverse engineer, copy, or make derivative works of the app
• Configure the AI to impersonate a specific real person, or to deceive shoppers about who they are talking to
• Break export-control, sanctions, or data-protection law

6. Availability

We aim for reliable service but cannot promise it is never interrupted. We target 99.9% uptime, which is a goal rather than a contractual SLA. Planned maintenance is announced where we can. Outages at Anthropic or Google are outside our control, though SellBot falls back to Google Gemini automatically when Claude is unavailable.

Push notifications to the phone app travel through Expo and Apple or Google's push services and are delivered best-effort. Timely delivery cannot be guaranteed, and the Inbox — not your phone — is the system of record for conversations.

We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, AI provider downtime, or Shopify platform outages.

7. Your data is yours

You own your catalogue, your conversations, and everything you bring into SellBot. We process it on your behalf as a service provider. You can export your conversations and waitlist from the admin at any time. We do not train third-party AI models on your store's data. Anonymous aggregate counts — how many chats, not what was said — may be used to improve SellBot for everyone.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising from your use of SellBot. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid us in the 12 months before it. We make no warranty beyond what the law requires.

9. Ending it

You can uninstall SellBot from your Shopify admin whenever you want; the subscription ends with the current billing period. We may suspend or end access immediately for a breach of these Terms or Shopify's policies, or to meet a legal obligation. Once it ends, your right to use the app stops and we delete your data within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy, except where the law requires us to keep a record.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the app admin or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use SellBot after that date means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
